Glorious Weddings and Events at Troney Valley Escapes
A truly wonderful wedding and events venue in the heart of Devon, that you can make exclusively your own and set-up exactly how you would like it, with full creative freedom to dress the venue as you like, for your special day or unique event, in one of the most stunning locations, with unforgettable views. A countryside venue on an ancient Devon farmstead, with a riverside setting in Troney Valley and three beautiful glamps perched a hill with magnificent views towards Dartmoor and beyond and full use of our huge barn. We have the perfect location for your wedding that can be yours for your dream countryside wedding or the setting of a special event.
Our countryside venue is for couples who would like full freedom to set up their wedding, their way. Couples would be responsible for preparing the venue, bringing in marquees, tables, glasses, crockery and decoration, to make their wedding an event to remember.
Exclusive use of Troney Valley Escapes from April to September: Two days: £4,450 – Three days: £6,650. You may take over the venue for a longer period, subject to availability.
We suggest a minimum of a three day hire, to allow time to put up and disassemble any marquees and tents that you might want to bring for your celebration and that the site be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure.
What is provided at Troney Valley Escapes:
• Exclusive use of Troney Valley Escapes for a minimum of three days. You will be able to access the site from 10am on set-up day to put up marquees etc. The venue includes use of our large 90 foot barn with space for ten sets of tables seating ten people per table (100+ capacity), three luxury safari tent glamps for the wedding party and family guests to stay for the duration of your wedding and use of a beautiful riverside setting and a large field for parking and additional tent pitches
• Full support and communication with us throughout the planning stages of your wedding
• You are to arrange your wedding ceremony at a church or alternative civil wedding venue
• We have power in the barn and three glamps that sleep up to 8 people each and each has country style kitchen which can be used by your catering company for food preparation, if needed
• Use of fields around the glamps, two fields along the Troney River and a large field above the site for additional camping. There is unlimited parking and space for numerous tents
• We do not have a power supply by the river, so you would have to arrange to bring a generator, if required
• Viewings by appointment as required
What is not included:
• Marquee hire (please appoint your preferred marquee hire company, who can assist in additional elements such as portaloos, etc). Please be aware that you need to calculate time for a marquee to be put up and taken down, within your venue hire period.
• Provision of food or catering (please appoint your own caterer)
• All chairs, tables, crockery, cutlery and glasses would have to be arranged by you
• Entertainment (daytime or evening). As you have exclusive use of the site, there is no set time to finish
• Linen (tablecloths or napkins)
• Drinks – if you intend providing a cash bar, you will need to apply for a temporary event notice (TEN) form, available from the local council. Alternatively if you intend using a free bar, a TEN is not required
• Please bring a PA system for background music. As you have exclusive use of the venue, there is no cut-off period for the event to finish at night
• The placing and removal of all decoration and the set-up and dismantling of any fixtures you have brought along, would have to be arranged by you, as we will not provide any of our own staff
