Our rustic ‘Cow Shed’ is the perfect games room and has plenty to offer in any weather. We have an honesty shop should you need any extra provisions or just sample some of the local produce. We are fortunate to have the wonderful local pub with restaurant dining, The Duck at Yeoford, 2023 winner of the Best Destination Pub in Devon, where you can ring and book takeaways, if you intend to have a lazy evening in your glamp.

For all your other adventures the surrounding area is packed full of every kind of activity you could need. There is hiking, surfing, fishing, horse riding, biking ( we have 3 electric bikes to hire for a half or full day available on-site) and loads of other outdoor sports to enjoy on the doorstep. Devon at its finest with so much to see and do. As we are located right by Two Moors Way, linking Dartmoor with Exmoor, you are within walking distance of this glorious trail.

If you are an equestrian, we have a two acre paddock a short walk from the glamp field below Troney Valley Escapes, if you would like to bring up to two horses per glamp booking with you, so guests can bring their own horses and we have parking for horseboxes in our carpark. The paddock is onsite and Two Moors Way, which is a beautiful bridleway, is a short ride away down the hill. Our Own Private Lake Fishing by Appointment

We have our very own private fishing lake at Troney Valley Escapes. Fishing is by appointment only.

Carp up to 25lb and large tench and Pike. £25 per day per person ( daylight hours) with maximum 2 rods each person. 4 fishing points so up to 8 rods total. £50 for 24 hours including day and night fishing.

THE COASTLINES OF NORTH AND SOUTH DEVON: Enjoy miles and miles of glorious coastline, chose between sandy or shingle beaches with an abundance of beach towns to explore and experience. Or explore the wonders of Dartmoor National Park close by.

For those more active, we have 3 electric bicycles which are available to hire allowing you to explore the surrounding countryside at your leisure, but these must be pre-booked. Safety gear is not provided.

Electric bike hire: half day – 8am-1pm (4 hours) – £20 / full day – 8am-8pm (sunset) – £35. Payment can be made to Henry during or after your stay with us.

For those young and old, why not try a game of ‘Pooh Sticks’ off our bridge over the River Troney? Endless fun, no matter how old you are.

Or why not learn the Skills of Bushcraft while staying on-site

Heartwood Bushcraft is a local business providing adults, children and families, experiences in the outdoors, connecting with nature through ancestral experiences. Heartwood Bushcraft is fully insured, DBS registered and a qualified Forest School Level 3 Leader. Experiences are available on-site here at Troney Valley Escapes, at the incredible riverside camp.

Bushcraft Experience: sessions last a minimum of 2 hours. Suitable for age 4+. Ages 4-8 must be accompanied by an adult, over 8 can attend without an adult.
